Paul replied: "Your situation might be different from mine, I'm just talking from personal experience from when I used to be 17 1/2 stone (around 110 kg). My sex drive went away, normal sex positions weren't viable as my partner couldn't breath and my arms struggled to support my body weight, sex became much less enjoyable to me and even lying down to go to sleep unpleasant due to acid reflux. Gaviscon helped (tri-magnesium silicate) and other antacids but life was uncomfortable. It's also not much fun knowing that many of the exercise equipment available wouldn't support my body weight as they have a 15 stone limit. Eventually I said, enough is enough, I stopped eating food after 6pm missing my evening meal and the snacks I normally have. I then started to get better sleep as my empty stomach didn't have all that reflux waking me up sometimes choking on my own vomit. Nice sleep meant I felt I was more awake and alert so I ate less sweets and crisps as I didn't need so many energy boosts. Being more awake and alert I was able to reason that I needed more water and less coffee, which further boosted my energy and alertness. I have not yet reached my ideal weight but I am already feeling massive health benefits including a natural return of my sex drive and energy levels. I'm not thinking so much about dying in my sleep and feeling more positive about my future. I don't know how much if any of this applies to you, but I can tell you that viagra increases blood pressure and carries a risk of heart damage, so I would advice against it. A drop in sex drive is usually a sign of an underlying medical problem which may or may not be related to your weight, I would strongly recommend seeing your doctor about it."
