Male Chest Hair Removal Tips

Chest hair appear in men typically between 18 and 30 years of age. The characteristics of the hair like length, density and growth pattern are primarily determined by the hormone called testosterone. As men grow older the chest hair continue to thicken.

While chest hair grow in different parts in different men, usually they span right from the neck to the abdomen.

Grooming chest hair has become an important issue for men. This is because men like to flaunt their chest and women love the clean looks.

There are a lot of ways to remove unwanted hair, including traditional shaving, waxing, and depilatories. There are also more expensive methods like laser treatment and

electrolysis. Here’s a run-up of the more popular methods...

Trimming: This is for men who’d like to leave some well-groomed traces of their chest hair. The drawback to this method is that it requires hair to be trimmed and treated with oils or cream regularly.

Shaving: This is for men who’d like to have a smooth, hairless chest. This method is easy enough with fresh new razors and a good quality shaving cream. Like trimming, the only drawback is that it requires regular attention since hair tends to grow back.

Hair Removal Creams. This is a quick, relatively safer method (no scissors or razors required). But be wary of brands that contain irritating chemicals.

Waxing: This is a fairly straightforward method and will last for about a month or so. Like hair removal creams however, waxing may contain irritating chemicals.

Sugaring: Compared with waxing, sugaring is touted as an all-natural alternative that uses a skin-safe substance that effectively removes chest hair. Like waxing, it lasts a month or so before you need to have another treatment. One drawback is the relative scarcity of sugaring practitioners compared with the number of waxing experts available.

Laser Hair Removal: This is the ultimate solution for men who’d like to get rid of chest hair for good, but in addition to the high cost of getting this treatment, there’s a risk of pain, blisters, and scarring. Plus, getting your hair back in case you change your mind is a very remote possibility.

Electrolysis: This method is said to be the best when it comes to permanent hair removal. The drawback is that it causes pain and requires multiple sessions.

If men are not comfortable removing chest hair, they should take proper care. They should trim them regularly and wash them with a soap or body wash. Wearing an undershirt helps keeping them from getting entangled in zippers or buttons.
