House of Loring

ABOVE: Loring Coat of Arms (England)

BELOW: Tomb memorial dedicated to Sir Nigel (Neil) Loring at Chalgrave All Saints Church in Bedford, England. Inside the church there are two table tombs with effigies of Knights. On the north side the tomb is thought to be of Sir Nigel Loring. The tomb on the south side is believed to be of Sir John Broughton. There is some dispute over whether or not Sir Nigel is entombed at Chalgrave. In his Will he desired to be buried at Priory Church in Dunstable, England although Chalgrave was his Manor Seat. One of his titles was Lord of Chalgrave Manor and he was a Benefactor of Priory Church of Dunstable.

This site presents the history and ancestory of the family Lorraine who changed the surname to Loring.
