Sir Real was not native to Rifts Earth. His small desert town of Haven, New Mexico was Rifted in suddenly while his brother, the Preacher, was delivering a message of Hope and Salvation to ease the worry of the End of the Mayan Calendar.
Immediately facing vicious vampires that roamed the deserts of Rifts Earth, a handful of the small town's population managed to survive the onslaught. Sir Real heard of the Cyber-Knights and knew he just had to join their ranks to defend the weak from oppression.
For a few years after his training had finished, Sir Real was stationed in Kingsdale. While here, a Glitter Boy Pilot, an obese Psi-ghost, and a young dragon hatchling approached him with word that his brother was in another realm purging it of evil. The pair also informed him that the 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse were loose and they needed his help to fight them off.
So off to Africa Sir Real rode (teleported) with 29 other Cyber Knights. They made up a formidable fighting force to complement the Power Armor battalion and other assorted Men-At-Arms and Magic Users who agreed to fight off the first of the Horsemen - Famine.
While victorious, this battle would be Sir Real's Final Stand.
An Eternal Flame now burns at the site of Famine's fall to commemorate the lives lost in that battle.
