Stand Up for Education

As we all know the Philippines is the only remaining country in Asia with a 10-year pre-university program so our government enhanced our curriculum to K12. K to 12 means Kindergarten and  the 12 years of elementary and secondary education, this means that children who don't undergo kindergarten will not be able to enter in grade 1 because in our new curriculum attending kindergarten is already compulsory.

the government thinks that K-12 could really help us because in here, we could gain more knowledge that we need to be more competitive to other countries. in addition to that, K12 is now using the "mother tongue" wherein, the teachers can teach using their mother tongue and students can also use that so they can understand their lesson very well.

The new K-12 program will serve as our road to success, so no one will be unemployed here in the Philippines.

So, what are the Advantages of K-12?

The advantages of having a 12-year basic education are : Graduates will be better prepared for higher  education, they can choose whether they will continue into higher education or they will take vocational courses and also they will be adequately prepared for the world of work or entrepreneurship who will be legally employable; that no more Filipino that will be unemployed. lastly, to be globally competitive wherein, we can now compete with the other countries.

For every Advantages, there is also Disadvantages of having K-12 Program.

The students will be having a long time to study and also a big expenses for their parents for them to send in school, another advantage of K12 is because of the spiral approach, as we all know, not all of the students can really catch up with their lesson so when it comes to spiral approach many students will be having a hard time to catch-up the lesson. one hour is not enough to study four lesson or topics a day. it will need more time and days for them to master all the lessons. also the allotted time for each subject is not enough aside from that we don't have enough rooms so how come will the students learn if we are lack of facilities and equipment.
