To meet manufacturer’s NO LEAK 50 year warranty requirements:Shelter Defense uses extreme high powered washer to clean the roof, then dries under industrial fans within Shelter Defenses Lee’s Summit, MO (south Kansas City metro) facility.
Manufacturer DOES NOT require sandblast. Extra silicone is applied around A/C unit opening, skylights, each seam, and every fixture attached to your roof. Light fixtures are taped off. Your trailer sides are wrapped in plastic to prevent product from splattering on trailer/RV sides and windows.
Then, the first application of seal is applied to the entire roof. Product pools in any low spots such as around your roof vents. Once dried, second coat is applied.
