Hi,

My name is Garry and this small web presence has been created to help people interested in shares, especially on the ASX, Sydney Stock Exchange, to contact each other and for us to compare our resources for making decisions on shares to trade.  I prefer to pay for my advice than rely on my own resources.  I can make some recommendations on share trading advice companies which comes from experience.  This page came online early in December 2012.  One objective is to review share advisory companies.  I know one which I believe to be a total scam, and several which are excellent.

My hope is to create a small manageable group which does not take up too much time in communication.  I live in the inner city of Sydney and hope to create occasional meetups over coffee.

Please phone me on 0402264489.

If I can't answer, please leave an SMS message.

There are many excellent resources out there and I have made a good range available on this webpage.

I went to the Share Trading Expo in Sydney on 20-21 July 2012 and found it very interesting and rewarding.  I came away with 8 stocks considered to be of value and time has proven almost all to be correct, and returns 17 times greater than having the money in the bank.  Most of the speakers made excellent presentations.  I look forward to the next expo.

Technical Trading and CTDs

I have serious problems with technical trading.  I do not believe in it for several reasons, not the least that it requires belief poorly supported by facts, and requires lots of expensive training only to be pitted against people who make it their life and also against software that can interpret the rules much faster and more accurately than any human.  Moreover, Warren Buffet has stated he does not believe in technical trading.  If I were to put my money anywhere near this, it would be towards software which continually learns and is adaptive, selecting from stocks which are chosen for their fundamentals.  Technical appears to me to be the territory of very expensive training programmes, where, if you win it is because of the training, and if you lose it is because you did not read the graphs according to ambiguous rules.  Plus - there are many different tech trading schemes and they lead to different answers from the same information.  This creates a tension though, as working short term with CTDs requires attempts to predict using past trends.

Fundamentals

I would much rather risk my money on shares which have real value, and from investment sources who have to survive by their performance.
