Bryce Brown

The recent success of Eagles rookie running back Bryce Brown had many people in fantasy football leagues seeing stars. Brown burst onto the scene against the Panthers with an amazing game in fantasy football leagues and followed it up with an almost exact duplicate the next week against the Cowboys. It was one of the best two weeks stretches any player had at nay position all season. He did fumble the ball a few times but it wasn’t anything too terrible for his owners in fantasy football leagues. Unfortunately it wasn’t meant to last. Brown’s next two contests were disasters with just under 60 combined yards. The good news is he didn’t fumble during those games though that hardly seems to matter to the coaching staff for the Eagles anymore.

The main problem with Philadelphia right now has nothing to do with injuries to key players like LeSean McCoy and DeSean Jackson. The problem is that this team is losing and everyone knows it. They’re not going to make the playoffs and it seems like they’ve entered the full blown experimental phase of a decomposing season. They’re trying out Nick Foles and Bryce Brown and whoever else they can just because they want to see what’s in store for this team next year. In fantasy football leagues these types of situations rarely yield much. The Eagles are not much different in this sense. Brown may have a good game here or there but you shouldn’t expect much out of the rookie this season. He peaked during his debut and his fumbling problem may relegate him to the bench shortly. It was a nice little run for Brown but it’s all over now and you can stash him on your bench with confidence for what little remains of the season in fantasy football leagues.
