Growing Marijuana Outdoors: Advantages and Disadvantages

Health is something that can be very difficult to manage. The strenuous work environment along with the growing competition and rivalry at work and in the market makes people stress out very easily. Most people cannot handle the growing tension at home. While dealing with such situations, people develop serious medical disorders such as blood pressure, stress, and anxiety attacks all of which are difficult to treat with normal medications. The medicines that are prescribed for such conditions are often harmful to the body and can have serious consequences in the long run. In order to cope with such situations, there are a few doctors that prescribe and recommend the use of medicinal marijuana. These plants have been used as a medicine for several years by the predecessors. A good way to treating illnesses is to go by the more natural way. People have now understood the benefits of using medicines that are made from herbs and medicinal marijuana has turned out to be the best when you talk about dealing with mental disorders such as stress. However, use of the same is banned in some countries. Some countries which do permit the use may not have the strain you are looking for. In order to combat such a situation, growing marijuana outdoors from its seeds is a good alternative.

Growing cannabis outdoors is relatively simpler when compared to doing so inside a room or a closed enclosure. This is because it is much cheaper and does not require all the expensive lighting systems, humidifiers, soil, and minerals. Even if the same is needed, it is in limit and an ideal situation can be created with little or no effort whatsoever. If you happen to be a person who does not have the resources or the money to indulge in indoor growing, then the backyard or the lawn may be your best bet. All the above factors contribute to the universal fact that outdoor growing is much cheaper than its counterpart is as the resources required are very less. Once the plant has started growing, it does not require much attention and continues to grow without any effort.

There are several advantages associated with growing cannabis from seed in the backyard or lawn. One of the reasons for this is that the yield per plant is much higher in the open than it would have been had the plant grown in an enclosed environment. This is because, with no restriction of height, the plant can grow freely to its natural height and get all the right nutrients. The plant will be larger as compared to one grown indoors, the produce for the same is also more.

However, in spite of all the advantages that this way of growing has on the plant, there are also some disadvantages associated with the same. For one, the plant is susceptible to the elements of nature. Another area of concern is theft. There have been several cases of the buds being removed at night and thus security must be good.
