This web page was created as part of a community-based project assigned to a group of nursing students enrolled in NUR 442, a community health nursing course at Southern Connecticut State University during the summer of 2012. Our goal is that this web page will serve as a comprehensive tool to assess the health status of the city of New Haven as a community. This page will also specifically address resources for the elderly in New Haven, and it will provide information regarding crusted Norwegian scabies, a communicable disease prevalent in the elderly population.
