Avenged Sevenfold have released 5 studio albums to date, changing the style of music with each new album.

Sounding the Seventh Trumpet
This was A7Xs first studio album and is noticably metalcore with heavy guitar riffs and screaming vocals.

Waking the Fallen
This was the bands second studio album, containing the same style of music but with a more refined, professional sound.

City of Evil
This was the bands third studio album and consisted of a completely different style of music. This album was made up of hard rock and long, progressing songs.

Avenged Sevenfold
The fourth studio album was an experimental album by A7X. It had many different songs in it, each portraying a different style.

Nightmare
Nightmare is the most recent album to date and has been dedicated to the bands lost member and friend The Rev. It contains heartfelt songs and messages, while also using heavy riffs and screaming in some songs.
