Small, simple, warm, blue and white.

For over 25 years our family home in Huntington Beach, California has been the center place of our family and friends alike. Five children have been raised here with our last child, now walking in those footprints. This home has been where we all have loved, laughed, cried, learned, prayed, shared, played and more. All as a family. Over the years we have had much and lost much but in the end we have always had this house. This house that now grandchildren have begun to run through. Our family in the last few years has started to quickly suffer from what many other Americans have gone through or are going through. We were always the family who helped, giving to others when they were in need, we always "Pay It Forward". We never thought we would be in the same position one day. But now we are. My husband has been ill the last two years, has lost his job, and at 60 his chances of being hired are slim, no matter how much experience he can bring. He has not to much left but this house and the hope to live long enough to see the last of his children grow up. Our own children have tried to help but with their own families and struggles they can only do so much. We have now one last chance to save this house. We need to raise $20,000 to save our home. We do not qualify for any other programs, we have spent the last six months applying and searching. We have exhausted our all our resources. We can no longer be too proud. Our last chance is that of strangers. People who maybe we met or have not or will not ever meet, people who may feel compassionate and are able to pay it forward. Anything, anything would help. I know that there may be a hesitation but this is real. We exist, we need help and we don't have much time. Please, please help us. On  December 9, 2009 Chase Bank notified us that on January 6th, 2010 if we do not reach this goal or some miracle doesn't occur, this house and most all of it's belongings will be gone. Some people may say, "It's just a house". It is, but it is our home, the home that we all worked to make, to keep, the American Dream. Please help.
