                I bought a franchise of a multinational business. They wanted me to run their business in my region. The customer support and product selling would be done from our side in my area and I was going to earn commission as per my monthly reports.  I was really excited. After doing job for nearly 12 years, I was feeling free. I was thinking that I will be able to give my family a better life and lifestyle with this business. After some days, I got mail from that company. In the mail, they stated they will send two of their executives to inspect your office and your resources and after that they will decide to give me the company branch.

 

                I was calm because I have already hired 50 employees. The only thing left was to buy proper furniture for the employees and myself. I gave all the employees the 5th of the next month as a joining date. The company’s executives were going to visit my office at 15th of the next month. I had a fair amount of time to set everything.  That week I found a carpenter, who claimed that he will build furniture for my office at a fair price and he will build it within 15 days. That was a great deal for me, so I hired him.

 

                He was going to buy the material on his own and he was going to provide me with the bill with both material and his labor. That was good, because he was going to take care of everything, so I gave him the keys to my office. I thought I would visit the office to check his work after 7-8 days.

 

                After 7 days, I went to my office to check the progress of my furniture, but the carpenter was not there and nothing was done. I called him, but he did not pick up my call. I was not so angry, because I hadn’t paid him. I thought I would find another carpenter, as I had still 20 days left. But, my tension started when I got a call from the company. They told me that the executives will visit my office tomorrow. Now, I was in a bad situation.

 

                I called my friend and told him my situation. He rushed to my home and helped me by calling all of my employees to let them know that their joining date was from tomorrow. One problem was solved, now the only thing left was furniture. My friend suggested me to go with Second Hand Office Furniture. That was a great idea. I asked him if he knew any dealer for Second Hand Office Furniture. He said that he knows a person who has a warehouse. We went to this guy and within one night we set up my office.

 

                Thanks to that dealer. After hearing my situation, they also helped me the delivery and fitting.
