Planning
The first step I took was drawing
up a plan of how i wanted my organizer to look. To do so, I used autocad
to give me an estimate on how much wood i would need and what the dimensions
would be.
Cutting
Once i had my layout of the
drawing, i started to cut the pieces of wood i needed. I used the miter
saw.
Edge banding
I finally had all of the pieces
necessary and then i started to edge band only one side of the wood. Once
i had the banding, I then ironed it on to make it stick to the wood.
Sanding
Once the edge band was on, I
had to sand the edges of the band to smooth out the surface.
Assembly
Now that everything is out of
the way, i will start assembling the pieces. I will use the nail gun to
put the pieces together.
Finishing
I am nearly done, all i have
to do now is stain my project and apply three coats of clear polyurethane.
After this my organizer will be complete.
