Rosin Eyecare History
Founded by Joseph Rosin, his wife Freda, and brother Maurice in 1930, in the heart of the Great Depression, Rosin Eyecare has served the Chicago area for over 80 years. Generations of Chicagoans have relied on us for their eye care. From our humble beginnings to today’s commitment and dedication to serving all of Chicagoland with 31 convenient locations, learn more about our past and how we’ve always ensured the best eye health for all our customers over the years.

Doctor Rosin and his team of technicians, ophthalmologists, and optometrists are committed to the health of your laser eye surgery. We offer comprehensive eye exams, glasses, and contacts, along with a variety of eye health checkups. We work with you to ensure excellent eye health throughout your life. Our very own Dr. Jonathan Rosin was acknowledged by The 2016 World Series Champions, Chicago Cubs for his help during the 2013 season. Dr. Rosin would regularly see Chicago Cubs players for contact lens fittings, new glasses and unfortunately even injuries. It means the world to Dr. Rosin and Rosin Eyecare that the Chicago Cubs would entrust their vision to us. Read the full acknowledgement here.
In July of 2016 Rosin Eyecare partnered with VSP’s Eyes of Hope. Eyes of Hope® supports local communities around the globe through initiatives that bring eye care, eyewear, education, and disaster relief to places where they’re needed most. To date, through Eyes of Hope, VSP Global has invested nearly $197 million in no-cost eye care and eyewear for more than 1.3 million people in need. Rosin Eyecare will be partnering with Eyes of Hope again, in 2017!
