In the book, “ America the Poisoned” it is said that “ Once the soil was treated with dieldrin or aldrin the pesticides remained there for over a decade, contaminating crops that are normally rotated with corn.(Ethos) Besides pesticides and other toxic natural chemicals, run-off from watered down fields also, contaminated water sources that are later utilized for drinking by cattle and dairy cows. Contaminate soil which corn and other produce are grown. In the book, “What you need to know to live with chemicals” it is stated that “ The Average American eats about 160 pounds of corn per year. High levels of aflatoxin on corn have direct effect on our health.”(Logos) It is also said in the movie the Corn King, that “ contaminated corn and has been fed to cattle and dairy products that humans consume.” As per, “American the Poisoned” Quote Most tragic of all as numerous government studies have made clear, millions of Americans will be unnecessarily condemned to an early death, will have their health destroyed or their children deformed or killed.”(Pathos)
