Once you have chosen your destination its time to get started.

Please don’t give out any personal information on the web.

The purpose for this activity is for research only!

1. Find the address for your destination.

2. Calculate the distance. For the starting destination use:

            200 Jayne Blvd. Port Jefferson Sta. 11776.

1. Calculate the price for transportation. Include: Gratuity, Sales Tax and any applicable fuel surcharges. Be sure to write any deposits that are required. Determine the number of buses needed for a minimum of 150 people.

2. Determine the cost of the admission to the park. (2 day admission, minimum of 150 people). Some internet sites require you to contact them on groups over 50, use the price that is given. Remember do not contact or give out any information.

3. Calculate the cost of hotel accommodations. Use any date that is available, mid week 3 night stay, estimate 4 people to a room. Include Sales tax and write any deposits that are required.

4. Include in your price $100 per person for a food budget.

5. Present a total price for the trip and a unit price per person.

6. Write a short paper on the history and educational value of your destination. Be sure to include: any advance deposits that are needed and compare and contrast different sales tax rates with the rest of your group. Include examples of how amusement parks can be related to real world applications of Mathematics, Science and Economics.
