My name is Raquel (this is not my real name so don't go looking me up). I'm a 14 year-old girl looking for a special place to be creative and a little rebellious. I have two adorable cats named Felix and Shadow and two fish named Shivers and Shimmers. My favorite animals are cats, horses and sheeps (this is not a misspelling, I call them sheeps, so deal with it). I hope to grow up to be a child psychologist and may occasionally post advice based on problems me or my friends are having. I play the guitar and I love to sing and read. I enjoy acting, making videos and working magic with a camera. I am learning Spanish. This is my personal space that I'm inviting you to check out. This is my journal/art studio. About my animals: Shadow is a gray tabby. He's a sweetheart and is scared of almost everything. We named him Shadow because he followed my dad home from a walk one night and we decided to keep him. Felix is a gray tabby mix with a white belly and paws, and a patch of brown on his nose we call his "mustache". He is a huge, lazy, talkative, bullying beast. He is always bullying Shadow, loves to cry at you (especially at dinner time) is enormously huge, and likes to strike poses. I can no longer tell the difference between my fish, but they like to play tag.

Went to this AMAZING party at my church on the 4th (of February). It was pretty sweet. I got to dress up in a fancy dress. My parents went nuts, and even brought out the camera. Wonder what they'll do when I go to senior prom..? Anyway, the church I'm going to now is the best. I've gone to many others over the years because my dad is overly picky, but this one feels like home. Not only do they do awesome stuff like the party, the people actually seem like they want me there.

Rebel Time:
I am part of this special program for gifted students at my school. Every Friday, there is a STEM class that takes place of our regular classes. Almost all of us eighth graders hate it for one reason or another. I enjoy the creative aspect, but there is too much process before we get to be creative. At the beginning of the year there was this contest to create a model memorial. I already knew I wanted to do my grandparents and exactly what I wanted it to look like. Unfortunately, they gave us these packets where we had to think before we could do anything. Thinking and being creative don't go together. When you get a spark of creativeness, you don't think about it. You do it. So we had to list our materials, what we needed to know, yadda yadda yadda. Then, we had to create four drawings of possibilities of what we thought it might look like. Well I already had it set in stone what I wanted it to look like, so I came up with three lame ideas and the one I was going to use, just for the credit. Well, I ended up winning second place, and I ignored all the rules. The worst part of STEM? The special academy is fifth through eight. We have to be in the same class as sixth graders. I appreciate you listening to my long story to eventually get to the point that the schools have no idea what they're doing. If your school does something especially stupid, let me know.
