*The scene opens up back at what was once "Jim's Gym", but now is completely renovated. Tinted windows that keep people on the outside from seeing in. Inside of the gym all new state of the art equipment and brand new wrestling ring. Not a single speck of dust in the entire place. There is press sitting in chairs in front of the ring, while the front three ring ropes have been removed and a table with two chairs is sitting inside of the ring. After a short wait Barry Browning and Rage both dressed in suits make their way into the ring and sit down*

Barry Browning - Thank you all for coming and I hope you enjoy the new look of our gym. For the next year minimum this facility will be for Rage's personal use only, after that we may accept a few privileged members, but that is a topic for a later discussion. Boys, lets show them what this place is all about..

*Barry gives a signal to a couple of guys around the wrestling ring and they drop a black cloth that was cover the bottom portion of the ring to reveal the words "RING OF RAGE"*

Rage - Welcome everyone, to the Ring of Rage.....

Barry Browning - Now that we have that out of the way, let's get down to business. We've got only a week before XtremeMania 9 and we haven't really spoken publically about the upcoming match. We've got to catch a plane over to Italy later today so lets make this as painless as possible. No need to tell me your name or where you're from. When I point to you, ask a question to me or Rage and we will answer, so where should we begin?

*Barry Browning points to one of the reporters*

Reporter 1 - What do you expect will come after your match with Shotgun, to both of you?

Barry Browning - I've yet to think about what will happen to my client after the match of his life, however I do know it will be a very prosperous venture, wherever he decides to go.

Rage - There is no "after" going on right now. There is only living in this very moment and focusing all of my being on beating Carlos Shotgun.

Reporter 2 - So does the Three Stages of Death match favor Shotgun or yourself?

Rage - It doesn't really favor anyone, as far as submissions I think Shotgun would have to get the nod but when it comes to keeping me down for a ten count, good luck!

Reporter 3 - What is the key for you in order to defeat Shotgun at XtremeMania 9?

Rage - You guys are really overthinking this, it's not your normal run of the mill match. We know one another pretty much move for move. This won't be a chess match where one of us outsmarts the other, it will be a blood bath where one of us simply outlasts the other and is declared the champion. I'm ready for war, and with war comes losses.

Reporter 4 - Do you think you're ready for this "new and improved" Shotgun?

Rage - New and Improved how? Look the only way Shotgun has gotten better is because his woman is keeping herself out of trouble, he's not flying around in an Iron suit and all his crazy friends are staying out of the way. The scary part isn't that Shotgun is new and improved, the scary part is how much he's stayed the same and always been at the top.

Reporter 5 - Barry what role are you going to play at XtremeMania 9?

Barry Browning - I will be there for support, I won't interfere, get physical or attempt any distractions. This match is bigger than anyone of us, and I would be doing it an injustice if I tried to stick my nose where it didn't belong.

Reporter 6 - Have you been using this new training facility to get away and maintain your focus?

Rage - Is that a real question? Jesus, I've been using this training facility to f*cking train, simple as that.

Barry Browning - Alright the questions are already getting old and we've done our five questions the XWF mandate us to. We will take one final question from you over there in the corner.

Reporter 7 - What is your goal for XtremeMania 9 Rage?

Rage - Survival, at any cost.

Barry Browning - That's a wrap everyone, thanks for coming out and we will see you all in a week at XtremeMania 9.

*Cameras are flashing everywhere as Rage and Barry Browning exit into a backroom and the scene slowly fades to black*

ONE WEEK LATER

*The scene now switches to the very night of XtremeMania 9, live inside the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan, Italy. It seems as if we have caught Barry Browning and Rage inside the locke room area going over strategy and last minute preparations*

Barry Browning - You know that you've been waiting your entire career for this, hell you've been waiting your entire life for this moment. The moment where you get to take a man you consider your equal, and some consider better than you, and you take him down once and for all. Not only will you instantly earn the respect of anyone watching, but you'll have the respect of anyone who hears your name for years to come.

Rage - I'm not worried about respect from anyone, I don't even care if Shotgun respects me at this point Barry. Right now this is a waiting game, I just sit back here and wait for the bell to ring, and once it does I release everything I've learned over the past fifteen years and I make Shotgun go through Hell. Everything that happens after that is simply fate, and neither him or I can change it.

Barry Browning - Well yeah I understand totally, but you've been training for months, years, hell over a decade for this very match. Everything that came before this was just a drop of water in a bucket that finally spills over in about twenty minutes.

Rage - That's all the time that's left?

Barry Browning - Roughly so, but no worries Rage we've crossed all our T's and dotted all of our I's, Shotgun will never be the same after tonight.

Rage - And neither will I.....

Barry Browning - That's not doubt I'm hearing is it? Doubt from the monster that has wrecked havoc in the XWF for over a decade.

Rage - The only doubt I have is Shotgun or myself ever being able to wrestle again after our match. We've studied him long enough now to know what he's capable of and we both know EXACTLY what I'm capable of. Tonight is literally going to change the history of the XWF, and quite frankly it will probably write the future at the same exact time.

Barry Browning - I have no arguments there. So what's your last minute thoughts, anything you want to go over one last time or anything you think we've skipped over?

Rage - Tell me this Barry, what do you think Shotgun is thinking right now?

Barry Browning - He's dreading each and every tick of the clock, wondering what will come of him after tonight's match. I don't think he's scared of you, but he is scared of what you can and will do to him in order to win. There's no doubt in my mind, Carlos Shotgun is one hundred percent focused on your match, and we've planned accordingly.

Rage - God damn right we have. So after tonight, do you really think that rids us of Shotgun for good?

Barry Browning - This is a three stages of death match, whichever one of you loses will be wishing they were dead. After you defeat Shotgun tonight, the last place he will ever want to be again is an XWF ring.

Rage - I figured about the same, so wha...

*A head pokes in wearing and XWF staff t-shirt*

Man - Ten minutes until showtime Rage, if I could have you and Mr. Browning head over to the ramp and wait until your entrance that would be great.

Barry Browning - On our way, get your stuff ready Rage it's go time.

*Rage and Barry Browning follow the man to the entrance ramp area. XtremeMania 9 has already have a few matches and now it's time for what some are predicting will be the biggest match ever. Rage and Barry are the only two just waiting behind the curtain for their cue to hit the entrance ramp. Rage finds a steel chair and sits down as Barry begins to speak*

Barry Browning - That's it Rage, time to focus, let everything else leave your head and just focus on Shotgun. Picture yourself doing whatever it takes in order to walk out of here with your hand held up as the winner.

*Rage has his elbows on his knees as he sits, with his eyes and face being covered by his hands, deep in focus*

Barry Browning - Remember all the little things you did growing up, that have prepared you for this very moment in your life, everything carefully calculated in order to bring you here.

*Rage remembers being a younger teenager, spending long nights on the computer typing out promos in order to get it perfect. Not going out with all his friends because there was a last minute match he had to cut a promo for on the weekend, and wanted to get it just right*

Barry Browning - The sacrifices you made were not meaningless, everything that was done had reason and tonight it all pays off. Remember where you started....

*Rage has visions of his very first match, which was in the EWF with his old tag team partner Fury. The two went on a long title run before the federation folded and Rage joined the XWF*

Barry Browning - Your first match in the XWF until your last match in the XWF it's all meaningful. Think long and hard about your first losses and what exactly that did to you.

*Now Rage has memories of laying on his back looking up at the lights seeing such names as 9LP, Chris Benoit, and Sam Hill as their hands are being raised. Realizing now for the first time that those losses might be just as important in building his career as any of his victories*

Barry Browning - Now think about your first title, and the feeling it gave you. How hard you worked for it and how you cherished it like nothing you'd ever held before.

*Still deep in focus Rage recalls defeating Sub-Zero for the North American Title and not being able to describe the joy to any of his fellow wrestlers. It was unlike anything Rage had ever felt and would ever feel again*

Barry Browning - Now bring yourself back to the current time, the current day, and the current match at hand. Rage this is what you, no this is what WE.....damn it this is what the ENTIRE WORLD has been waiting on. The two Alpha Males in the XWF going head to head for one final time to settle the score for eternity.

*Rage recalls epic Showdowns with Shotgun and himself, some that Rage came out on top and others Shotgun. Many years have passed since they first met and they always seemed to find one another at some point each and every year. Whether it be a match or just a few cheap shots, Rage and Shotgun always ended up across the ring from one another*

Barry Browning - Do you hear that outside Rage, listen closely they are playing a video hyping your match. Once we walk through that curtain there will be tens of thousands of fans erupting out of hate or love for you and you won't be able to hear yourself think.

*Rage calmly listens as the video recalls many of Rage/Shotgun meetings in the past, and catches the viewers up with things that have happened in the past few weeks. Rage still has his head down in his hands, complete focus on the match*

Barry Browning - Wait, do you hear that???..

*A very recognizable song can be heard and Rage's heart almost skips a beat in excitement*

Barry Browning - It's go time Rage, let's end this once and for all.

*Barry Browning exits through the curtain while Rage still sits in the chair. Barry has a microphone in his hand and Rage can hear him addressing the very loud crowd from his chair*

Barry Browning - I have the privilege right now, to introduce each and every one of you, to a man I call my friend. A man who has passed the test of time, and tonight will solidify his career. Ladies and Gentleman of Milan, and the world....I give you the Modern Day Monster.......RAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!

*Rage still behind the curtain slowly stands up hearing this, cracks his neck to the left, then cracks it to the right.....loosens up his shoulders and lets out a loud scream*

Rage - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

*Immediately after the scream Rage opens the curtain and officially walks into XtremeMania 9 as the scene slowly fades to black*
