Career Day

This is an exciting day of recruiting, networking, and learning. All students, freshmen through seniors, alumni and community members are welcome to attend the 2008 Lone Star College Career Day. Come visit with employer representatives in an informal setting.  All employers will be recruiting for full-time jobs, part-time jobs, internships, and more.

Purpose

The primary purpose of the Career Day/Job Fair is recruiting, giving students and employers the opportunity to meet face-to-face, and the establishment of future relationships. This event is not just for seniors, but for all students who are interested in either getting a job or learning about employers and the types of jobs they offer.

As a recruiter, you have the chance to encourage the freshmen and sophomores, and to help them learn about your organization.  You can recruit sophomores and juniors for internship positions also.  Come prepared to have fun.

Now is the time to seriously consider employment options. While not all of the employers present will have immediate openings, they are excellent resources to learn about other types of opportunities or future openings. If you have attended Career Day throughout your academic career, you may already know some of the employer representatives and will be able to greet them as friends or as your future employer. If you don't feel there is any businesses or organizations in which you are interested, remember that employers are great networking resources. If they do not have something available, they may know a colleague who does.
