New Edition is the original boy band of the 80s. Ricky Bell,Michael Bivins,Bobby Brown formed New Edition.As young kids they would do talent shows on the weekends. Ralph and Bobby knew each other when they were younger. Ricky and Ralph met each other at a school play called Death After School and on a Basketball court.New Edition was decoverd by Maurice Starr.In the 70s Roxbury was impoverished crime ridden distict in Boston, Ricky Bell,Bobby Brown,Ralph Tresvant,and Michael Bivins were all living in the housing porjects .After winning talent shows They added a 4 memebr Ralph Tresvant their childhood friend.and more talent shows followed and New Edition added 12 year old Ronnie Devoe who was in a local group called the Dramatics.In 1983 New Edition came out with "Candy Girl" Is This The End? and Popcarn Love. Also in 1984 New Edition came out with their self title album"New Edition" and In 1989 they came out with NE HEART BREAK witch sold over 3 millon copies Also in that same year Johnny Gill Joined the group.In 1996 New EDITION came out with Home Again,And In 2004 They came out with One Love. In the 90s Ralph scored a top 5 hit with "Senivity" and Johnny Gill came out with "MY MY MY" AND Bell Biv Devoe came out with "Posion" In 2002 New Edition signed to Bad Boy Records,and In 2004 New Edition came out with On Love.Also In 2004 Ricky Bell and Ralph Tresvant married thier long time girlfirends on the same day as Ricky 's Birthday.

In 2016 Ronnie Devoe,Ricky Bell,Michael Bivins, And Bobby Brown come out R,R,M,B.Ralph Tresvant came out with all Mine", Johnny Gill came out with new music also.Ralph is doing a thing about his life called" A Closer look at Ralph Tresvant" in 2022 New Edition did a tour called "The Culture Tour" NE also did a tour in 2023 called "The Legacy Tour"
