This is the official web-site for the guitarist normally known as "Phoenix UFO (Unorthodox Feline Object)". It contains everything you will ever need to know about his music and his message. If you're not familiar with this guitar playing "alien cat" you may need to hold on to your seat because you're in for the proverbial flying saucer ride of your life.
He was allegedly born on a planet called "Ferdaynia", which is in another solar system within the Milky Way. He was said to be sent to Earth to play guitar and warn all earthlings about the dangers of substance abuse, pollution, and global warming.
His live show is a short bizare set of instumental guitar music that includes rock, blues, classical, funk, and lightning fast shred licks. He has become well known for his trademark antics including robotic movements and sometimes even spinning on the floor while playing guitar. He ends each night with a Hendrix inspired "Star Spangled Banner" and then seems to vanish in thin air.
His appearance is often discribed as being even more bizare than his guitar playing. He always wears a mock prep-school uniform like that of AC/DC guitarist Angus Young along with a green space alien mask and the tall red and white hat from the Dr. Suess classic "Cat in the hat".
He has gathered a small but devoted cult-following not only because of his guitar playing but because of reported claims of his prior knowledge of the infamous Phoenix Lights UFO sighting in March of '97.
There are many people who really believe that he actually is from another planet. Most people veiw the whole story as an elaborate hoax but they love to watch him play.
