5 Best F1 Parties in Singapore

So it is that time of the year again, isn’t it? Singapore is filling up with both people and enthusiasm as the awesome F1 formulas will be stepping on the Marina Bay Street Circus, hoping for success in the Singapore Grand Prix 2014.

The actual race is awesome, but the parties that follow are just as awesome too! Friday to Sunday sees the Formula drivers race each other, whereas the time right after the races sees an influx of party people racing each other to the crazy parties throughout Singapore. This time though, forget the party catering services Singapore offers… it’s time to push your way through the masses of people for those drinks!

If you are fortunate enough to find yourself in Singapore during these few days, below are some of the parties you would not be forgiven if you miss out on.

Circuit Park

The first on the list must be the official Formula 1 festivities taking place at Circuit Park, Singapore Grand Prix. Free to enter for any F1 ticket holders, the festivities will include hundreds of the most renowned entertainers of the world for almost 90 hours.

Amber Lounge

The tickets to Amber Lounge are almost as required as the actual F1 race in Singapore, with most of them being sold well before the party starts. This venue has become known as the main F1 after party and, if you are lucky, it is entirely possible to run onto a world renowned celebrity or two. The entry fees range from S$900 person to over S$26,500 for up to 8 people, drinks and a bottle of Champagne in the VIP area.

Pangaea

Although not quite dedicated to specifically holding the after party, Pangaea is broadly considered the best club in Singapore, as well as one of the must-visit clubs of the world. The 4000 square feet establishment is globally known as one of the most luxurious clubs in the world, entertaining the richest of people. Be warned though, more than half of the guests are considered to be billionaires!

1-Altitude

A different type of party on its own, 1-Altitude sits at almost 300 meters above the ground, offering 360 degree awesome views for its guests. The party starts after the F1 race is finished, at 22:00 for the next three nights. F1 ticket holders have a free entrance whereas the entry fee for the others costs S$30, including a drink.

Podium Lounge

Success in regular sell-outs full of celebrities saw the Podium Lounge event switching venues from their current one located at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore (where they started on 2009) to the bigger, better the Grand Ballroom venue. The location of this party matters little, what matters is the attraction it provides towards the people, including many celebrities – its F1 after party event will be even better this year thanks to the tribute Podium Lounge host Freddie Hunt will give to his father, James Hunt, a F1 racing legend.

Despite the realistic difficulty of actually visiting all of these places in such a short amount of time, worry not. Simply being in Singapore during such an event with be delightful enough in its own, let alone visiting any of the places above even just for a few hours. You will want to come back again next year.
