1.      UCLA – The first I.M.P. was connected to the first host at U.C.L.A. on September 2, 1969

2.      Al Gore – He helped four national supercomputing centers get federal funding.

3.      Rand Corporation – Paul Baran, an electrical engineer, got the idea of packet switching while working at the Rand Corporation around 1960. The Rand Coporation also had a a time-sharing system.

4.      Vint Cerf – Currently an executive in Google. He is the co-designer of the TCP and IP protocols.

5.      Leonard Kleinrock – he helped create the earliest computer networks in the 1960s.

6.      Jeff Bezzos – He created the online bookstore Amazon.com, currently the world’s largest online retailer,  in 1995.

7.      Marc Andreesen – He created the Mosaic browser as a student at the University of Illnois. He partner with Jim Clark to create Netscape Communications.

8.      Jonathan Abrams – He created the social networking site Friendster.

9.      Jerry Yang – In 1994, Jerry Yang and David Filo launched Yahoo, which is still one of the most visited web sites.

10.  Sergey Brin – Sergey Brin and Larry Page unveiled their search engine Google in 1998,  which became the number one most used search engine.
