The quantity of each essential oil depends upon the maker of which fragrance of oil they want to smell more. While another oil is used less whose fragrance is less liked. It totally depends upon the choices of the maker. You can get some basic idea as to how much quantity of essential oil should be mixed by opening the tap of essential oil bottles by smelling them together and breathing the mixed fragrances. Also, you don’t have to use equal quantity of each oil. One or two drops of certain oils like citrus will give a lift to a perfume, without necessarily being immediately identified. The recipe of homemade perfume

The ingredients which are going to be used for homemade solid perfume should be pure and natural which are given below;

  • 100% pure beeswax
  • Jojoba oil
  • Essential oils

Much care should be taken while preparing the perfume at home as preparation of perfume involves the hot/boiled water and hot wax. Minor negligence can harm your body.

Following steps are involved in the preparation of the perfume with natural ingredients.

Step 1: Measuring of jojoba oil

Measure one and half tablespoon of jojoba oil into a small glass or cup.it can be nearly two tablespoons of jojoba oils.

Step 2: Adding essential oil to Jojoba Oil

In this step, essential oils are added to the jojoba oil and mix it. We use twenty-five drops of different essential oils. If you desire a stronger scent, add a little more essential oil… don’t skimp on the jojoba though.

However, bear in mind that each oil of the following group of essential oil has different quantity of oil, for example,

  • 7 drops of frankincense
  • 7 drops ylang-ylang
  • 5 drops ginger
  • 6 drops sweet orange

Similarly, the essential oil with different fragrances has different to above-mentioned oils have the specific quantity which should be added to jojoba oil.

  • 7 drops of sandalwood
  • 2 drops cedarwood
  • 5 drops amber
  • 6 drops vanilla

In the same way, to get different fragrance, add other essential oils in jojoba oil. If you are making larger amounts, simply keep the ingredients in the right ratio i.e. “double everything”.

  • 7 drops jasmine
  • 6 drops gardenia
  • 6 drops neroli
  • 4 drops costs / tuberose / rose
  • 2 drops Bertram

Step 3: Melt one tablespoon of grated beeswax

It is very necessary to use a double boiler when melting beeswax, with the inner pan being non-metal. This is because if the beeswax is just melted in a pan, it can very easily be destroyed by the too-high temperature. Grating it first speeds up the process. Beeswax starts to get soft around 33 centigrade and melts at around 64 centigrade. One of those tiny non-metal pans is ideal, placed inside a larger pan of water. First, Heat the water in the bigger pan, then place the “inner” pan holding the beeswax inside it until the beeswax melts. If you can keep the temperature of the water around 72 centigrade to that levels that beeswax is melted. However, if water is not boiling, it is not the good sign. If the final product seems too soft or too hard, adjust the amount of beeswax

Step 4: Add the mixture of Jojoba and oils to Beeswax

At this stage, the mixture we have obtained by mixing the jojoba and essential oils with the melted beeswax properly. Make sure that you have stirred the mixture properly and attentively.

Step 5: pour into the container

Place the mixture in open place and get it cool according to the room temperature. After this, pour it into the container. Care should be taken while pouring it into the container.

Step 6: Allow it to cool for 20 minutes

Now allow it cool for about twenty minutes. After this, perfume is ready to be used. Pack it in beautiful bottles and apply it on your dresses.
