 Community Access Trips

Darby's / Bowling / Value Village

We will be practicing money, social, transportation and leisure skills. The first stop is at Value Village. Students will be able to choose one item for themselves and then work from a written and pictorial list to find items needed for the classroom and kitchen. Students will then have an opportunity to practice turn taking, social and bowling skills. Thanks to Highline Lanes for supporting our students. We will then go to Arby's to practice money and restaurant skills. We will be practicing transportation skills to and from Burien.

Mongolian Grill
Students will have an opportunity to make choices from a wide variety of foods. This resturant was chosen as our formal dining practice for the month of may because it meets the dietary needs of all students. http://www.changsgrill.com/chang2intro.html

Seattle Children's Festival
Thanks to the generosity of the Boeing Employee's Credit Union Grant we are able to rent a bus and pay entry fees for all students and support staff that will be going on this field trip. We will be ordering sack lunches from the cafeteria. This will be an all day event!
