The Book Review of April Christofferson's 'Alpha Female'

Set on the land in and around Yellowstone National Park, April Christofferson's latest novel, "Alpha Female" pits the forces of corporate greed and deception against those personally committed and sworn to protect the pristine beauty and native wildlife that call the preserve home.

Federal Judge Annie Peacock and senior Ranger Will McCarroll find themselves reluctantly allied when Annie's mother disappears mysteriously during the investigation and legal proceedings against a suspected wild game tropy hunter. After the killing of a wolf who was the leader of the Druid pack, the alpha male and valuable tracking equipment comes up missing Ranger McCarroll must mount-up and take to the back country in an attempt to prevent the same fate from happening to the dead wolf's mate, Number 22 as she roams throughout the Park seeking a new suitor.

Adventure, romance, murder and suspense are all tantalizing ingredients of this timely modern day western novel!

April Christofferson is also a speaker and advocate for wildlife, wilderness and social justice. She raises awareness on issues including dangerous practices in the pharmaceutical industry and the American West's biggest areas of conflict: wildlife and public lands management, tribal rights and development.

Educated in biology, veterinary medicine and law, the author has published six books to date including "After the Dance", "Buffalo Medicine", "Protocol" and "Patent to Kill". Some of her works have been compared to those of Michael Crichton and Robin Cook.
