Sonali bendre in a supporting role. A sequel to 2010 film once upon a time in mumbaai features Akshay kumar, Sonakshi sinha and Imran khan in leading roles.

The film first trailer was released on 28 may 2013. The film expected to released on 15 August 2013. The release date of the film was pushed further by the producers to avoid clashing with upcoming film chennai express which is releasing in one week earlier. This is the third collaboration Akshay kumar and sonakshi sinha as a pair.
