I've Been Playing This For Like 13 Seasons Now

There are many different types of leagues for fantasy basketball that a person can choose to play in.  These are Head to Head, cumulative scoring, draft, auction group, fantasy points, Rotisserie, and daily versus weekly.  No matter which of these you choose, however, you should always keep in mind that eventually you will find one that suits your playing style more than the others.  Once you discover which of these you like more you will be able to start advancing in your chosen league style.  This is how many of the famous players learned to play, and how you may end up being one of the elite.  However, there are some differences between the different playing styles.

Head to Head and Cumulative Scoring are different because head to head focuses on a team for what is normally a week and using fantasy points scoring systems.  Cumulative does not do this but is based on the stats that a specific team accrues over the time of an entire season.  This results in a team winning over any others.

The Draft and Auction leagues different because in the draft a person takes turns when choosing his or her players.  In the Auction leagues a person is given a specific budget that they can use to buy who they want.

Rotisserie fantasy basketball awards players according to the stats that they have, while Fantasy Points awards players based on the amount things like assists and other types of scores.

Daily and Weekly are different because these two are not balanced in terms of schedules.  One only runs a day, one runs a week, and Weekly are advised to play at least five games in one week whereas that many games might not be able to be played in a day.

However, this is all part of the joy of playing fantasy basketball.
