A few of NVNP's Goals
No Vision No Pity is a brand new advocacy and awareness group. My name is Thalia Barclay, and I am the founder of this group. I have been blind since I was six months old, and throughout the 20 years I've been alive I've noticed that there is very little awareness of the blind, visually impaired, and the deaf blind community. Now, I feel thatI can make a difference by creating this group in the hopes that soon we could make awareness campaigns in cities across canada, put video clips of blind people living and working up on the site (if possible), raising funds toward the CNIB and research for causes of blindness. Networking and spreading awareness on a country wide scale is easier than ever now with the internet, and I plan to use this site to network blind people and their friends and families in order to spread information and help each other.
