I presently own a 1981 VW Rabbit with a 1.6 liter naturally aspirated diesel engine. As of this writing, I am very impressed with the rabbit. It is not naturally flashy or excessivly fast. Nor, is it a real head turner (at least in my rabbits present condition). On the other hand, it certainly is fun to drive, and rather simple to maintain. As I perform services and repairs on my rabbit I am going to try and photograph them and recount them so that others will be able to learn from my mistakes.
