Hey there Kenshin fans!! Welcome to the part of my site that's nothing but Kenshin! I'm still working on it as you can tell so be patient! Here you'll find some pictures and bios of the characters! Ok, so we'll start with the youngest one first!! Yahiko Myojin is from a long line of samurai. He has the pride of a samurai warrior but unfortunately the time of the samurai has come to an end ...Poor little guy...=;_;= But worry not folks, for young Yahiko has learned how to protect people with his sword, not kill them! When we first meet Yahiko he was working for the syndicate to pay off the "debt" that his mother owed them by pit pocketing people. Kenshin and the others eventually find out what was really going on at the beef-pot restaurant after Yahiko tries to pit pocket Kenshin (How stupid is that! Trying to pit pocket a guy with a sword?! Even if it is a Sakabatou!). Yahiko had been working for the syndicate before he joined up with Kenshin and Kaoru for sometime. Yahiko's parent's both died and so young Yahiko was left with this so called "debt" to the yakuza. There really was no debt to begin with and those icky yakuza gangsters only used him for money! =>_<x= That's mean! Evil yakuza meanies!
Next we have Sanoskue Sugary. When Sano was 9 years old he was a member of the Sekihoutai. The Sekihoutai were a group who had supported the Mejia government but all were betrayed and killed by the Mejia government. When the Mejia government betrayed the Sekihoutai Sanoskue vowed to get revenge. After all this had happened Sano became a gangster and perfected his skills as a fighter. When we first meet Sano, he is a fighter for hire who was hired by Gohei Hiruma to kill Kenshin. Once Sano learns who his target is he excepts the job. When Sanoskue confronts Kenshin you'll notice that he is carrying a large sword. This weapon is called the Zanbatou (It kinda reminds me of Cloud's Buster Sword!). This is where Sano gets his nickname, Zanza, from. Eventually Sano is defeated in his fight with Kenshin and decides to join up with the Kenshin-gumi!
Ok, next is Kauro Kamiya. Kauro is the assistant master of the Kamiya Dojo. She meets Kenshin while trying to find the one who is killing people using the Kamiya Kasshin Ryu, a sword that is ment to protect lives, and claiming to be Battosie the man slayer. Any who, she comes across a man with a sword who's name is Kenshin. She mistakens him for the man who is killing people all over Tokyo using Kamiya Kasshin Ryu. Eventually she realizes her mistake and offers him a place in her dojo. It isn't until later that the man who is really going around and killing innocent people comes and pays her a visit. By this time Kaoru has already figured out that the man killing people, Gohei Hiruma, was a student of her father's who was expelled 11 years earlier. When Gohei tries to take his revenge out on Kauro Kenshin comes to her rescue. This is where Kauro learns that she had actually been living with the famous manslayer Battosie.
And last but certainly not the least, our hero Kenshin. Ok, I know he doesn't look like much but boy can this dude fight! This 28 year old rurouni can take down five men with just one swing! He was at one point in time a feared manslayer known as Battosie (means 'killer' in Japanese) the manslayer. When he isn't busy fighting bad guys he is playing with little kids and doing laundry ! But since Kenshin has become a rurouni he has sworn not to take another life and instead protects and helps the weak when ever he can. Awww, that's sooo sweet!! =^_^x=...MEOW! Despite the fact that he wants to protect weak people, people like say uuummm...ME, against evil people is only one reason as to why I like Kenshin so much. The other reason is because of what has happened to him in the past! First his parents died when he was very little, then he was sold into slavery, and then the slave traders to which whom he was sold were all viously murdered by a group of bandits. Among the slaves were Shinta (aka Kenshin), Akane, Sakura, and Kasumi. Akane, Sakura, and Kasumi were three sisters who were sold into slavery like Kenshin. The reason as to why Kenshin was sold into slavery and why the three sisters were sold into slavery are very different. Kenshin's parents died of a cholera breakout in their village where as Akane, Sakura, and Kasumi where sold so that their family could pay off a family dept! =;_;x= That's so sad! But just as the bandits are about to kill poor little Shinta, who just witnessed the murder of three young women who he cared so much for, in comes Hiko Seijuro. Hiko slays all of the bandits just as they were about to slay Kenshin. YAY!!
