                 My name is Becky Lynn Rogers, I was born in Columbus Nebraska on Friday the 13th, 1968.  I was born during a blizzard where my father raced across the countryside to get to my mother while she was having me.  I grew up in Columbus until I was four.  Then we moved to Wayne, Nebraska where my father had a new job.

     I have three brothers and I am the only girl in my family.  I went to Wayne schools, elementary, middle and high schools.  I participated in girls basketball and track.  I played the clarinet in the middle and high school bands. Was also a member of the pep band.  Which was always fun to do.  I enjoyed English, and Social Studies the most in school.

     I graduated from Wayne High School in May of 1987.  Then what?  I decided to go to Wayne State College to start studying becoming a teacher.  I decided that I wasn't ready for college, so I got a job taking care of  a special needs premature baby.  I think met and fell in love with my future husband.  We got married, and he was in the army and was stationed in Fulda, Germany.  It took me 6 long months before I could join him.  We lived off post in Fulda, Germany in a two story house with a German landlord.  We traveled alot.  I did lots of crystal shopping.  I loved Paris, France the best.  I went to Paris, Praque, and Karlovy Vary, Czecholsvakia.  Barcelona, Switzerland, Berlin, and visited the Berlin Wall which was still up at the time, but did fall while we were there.  We unfortunately divorced when we got back to the states.  We lived in Germany for 3 and 1/2 years.


     I lived in Stanton for a year after we moved back.  Then decided to go to college.  Not exactly sure what I wanted to do.  Went to Northeast Community College in Norfolk.  I have went thru many career changes, first legal secretary, veterinary technician, LPN, and now I have finally decided to go back to Wayne State College and get my degree in Elementary Education/Special Education.  I have gotten a full year done.  Will hope to be done within 3 1/2 years.  I am looking forward to becoming a teacher.
