How to Dress up Your Little Girl With the Most Beautiful Fairy Princess Costume – Tips from an Expert Designer

If your little daughter is preparing for an important costume event this Halloween, you should start thinking about a nice costume she can wear. Many times, if you have the required patience and some basic sewing skills, will be able to create a much better looking dress than the ones that are ready made. Start designing your little princess a fairy princess costume, which will definitely make a good impression at any party, not just the Halloween costume event.

First, you will need a three quarter length shiny silver dress. This must be a simple, sleeveless dress, which is comfortable for your daughter to wear. You can choose a silver satin dress for example, because satin is a fabric that is non-irritating and very comfortable to wear. This dress will become the centerpiece for your fairy princess costume.  Next, you will need three sheets of organza of different colors. Choose among pastel colors, for example: light turquoise, light blue, soft peach, pink, mimosa yellow, teal, jade and all the other wonderful colors of the rainbow, in pale tones.

Using the three different colored sheets of organza, you will create three wider layers for the dress. Start by adding the first layer below the chest of the silver dress. Make sure that you will create slightly ruffled layers, and continue adding them, until you cover up the whole dress. Organza is a delightful see-through fabric, very easy to work with, so you will have no difficulties in creating this splendid fairy princess costume. If the silver dress is too long, and three layers of organza are not enough, you can add one or two more layers, but always of different color.

You will soon realize what a wonderful fusion of colors you have created, and what a stunning little fairy princess costume has come to life. Before you actually sew the layers to the dress, it is better if you pin these onto the dress, and make the necessary adjustments. Only when you are fully satisfied with the layers, you can sew them onto the dress. You can use beads of the same colors as the fabrics you have used for the layers, in order to make some nice decorations. Pastel organza, works magnificently well with perlized beads, so you can indulge yourself into creating something magic for your little daughter. You can buy a ready-made fairy wreath for her, and a pair of see-through fairy wings. Now she is ready to enchant everybody with her wonderful fairy look!
