2 Shades a rap duo out of the biggest little city in the world, Reno, NV, have now released their first mixtape to hit the underground charts at #3 with the single Money on My Mind. The two rappers in 2 Shades are Illegal and Prophecy, real names (Alan Raygoza & David Reed Jr.). With their very unique styles very different from each other, still have a sound that listeners can't get enough of. Illegal is a rapper out of Mexico whose rap style is quick paced and alike as a bizzy bone flow. Illegal is 15 years old and already has come out with many hit songs as a solo artist and as a group. Many people say that Illegal started out as a battler, or rap emcee that just freestyled about anything that came to mind. We have recorded that Illegal has beaten many other rappers in battles. Some are Killa, Blaze, JT THE DAMAJA, Raider, and Hustla ENT. With a fast flow and a sick voice this emcee is considered on the top 100 underground rappers in the west coast. Prophecy the laid back teen of the group started the group 2 Shades. He is known as a rapper, producer, and an entrepreneur. Prophecy the young 15 year old makes his own beats and writes his own rhymes. Known for his dope flow and endless vocabulary this rapper is considered on the top 75 underground rappers in the East Coast which is a rare accomplishment. With Prophecy’s rap style being straight from the roots of the Dirty South and East Coast, with some West Coast flare people are amazed by his singing and rapping abilities. Some call him the next John Legend with his R&B flow and some call him the next Layzie Bone with his fantastic flow and his ability to rap fast. Prophecy has battled and beaten the following people. Killa, Blaze, Dreamer, Bones, Raider, Hustla ENT, R.I.K., Victor, and the RICH DOPE BOYS INC. Prophecy has come out with many hit solo songs and with the group. The first CD is coming in Early January of 2008. While Illegal says he’s concerned with keeping it real, he and his girlfriend are supposed to go on tour to perform his solo songs. Prophecy on the other hand is focusing on school and his social life with his friends and girlfriend Joyti Sidher.
