Welcome to Ms. Gilbert's Classroom

Welcome to the fifth grade! I have planned a very exciting school year filled full of learning and fun.

We will be challenging our intelligence with sixth grade morning math problems that will prepare us for the sixth grade mastery tests.

Each week we will have five to six new enrichment words on our spelling lessons that will increase our vocabulary.

 Language Class will be a refreshment of everything you have learned since kindergarten.
We will be splitting this class with Connecticut Mastery Test Preparation. We need to challenge our brains and skills.

We will be reading numerous chapter books during the school year, let’s see if we can break the record of 28 books in one school year. The challenge has been offered, do you accept???

Social Studies, where do we begin! We will be discussing so much history and current events that we’ll know more that the historians.

Science, my favorite subject. We will study plants, animals, biomes, the human body and my specialty the BRAIN!

 I don’t think I have left anything out. I look forward to a year of excitement as we
conquer the fifth grade curriculum.
