To all my friends,

First of all, I have loved working with all of you. I've actually enjoyed working with you better than my peeps

in my first career of broadcasting. Here, everyone get's along with very little back biting and work together as

a team. It's an exciting time for me! Now it's time to open a new chapter of life. I have spent the happiest

8 years of my life here. Did I mention June 14th is my 10th anniversary?  Yes, the past two years have not been the best. Now that Vodaphone is no longer involved,  the same great corporate geniuses that drove landline to near extinction to have greater say in our once successful operations. They forget who built Verizon Wireless into the cash cow it is today. We all contributed to the success of the company. Now, tenured employees are seen as expensive cuts of meat that can be replaced by cheaper cuts. If this policy was expanded to include mid and upper management, I may be in favor of it. To employees who care about the success of the company, we see a train heading for a wreck.

Gone are the days of "first call resolution" that made us stand apart from competitors. Usher in the inexperienced folks who resolve the call by cold transferring to another department. Although some of them are showing potential, most are not invested in the success of the business. My regret is that there are many people working here that have been groomed to care about our customers and business. Customers now are experiencing transfer after transfer to various employees who do not know how to resolve their customers' issue. As more and more talented, seasoned employees leave, they will be replaced by people who are not here for the long term and will be rotated in and out depending on the "needs of the business".

Remember, you are a valuable assest no matter how many times your are made to feel like you are the problem. There was life before and will be after Verizon and you will succeed. I will miss the many friends I have come to know over the past 10 years. Keep in touch and if you're in the neighborhood, drop by!

With much regret,
