They will tell you "We never lay people off" and "You'll always have a position at Microline, we'll find something to keep you employed" Do not believe a single word of it. It's all a bunch of lies. Once they see that you are committed, and locked into a nice mortgage, then they hit you with a wage freeze. Then, when they realize that there are no other employers within 100 miles that even have a need for your skill set, they will start using intimidation tactics like threatening you with termination over little things. They routinely treat their employees like slave labor. At a pay scale that is 50% below the industry median wages for engineering staff, you'll be on-call 24/365 and expected to drop everything regardless of were you are. The Engineering Manager routinely leaves out important key project details until the last minute before delivery, then expects everyone to work 24 hour days to get the job done, and operational on the delivery schedule
If you enjoy being stressed out beyond belief, being severely underpaid, under appreciated, and over worked then by all means this is the place for you. If not, seek employment elsewhere.
