Political science was once and is still my passion. I enjoy everything about it and was aspiring to become a professor. I enjoyed learning about the Constitution, its laws, how it affects citizens and just American Government in general. Then I stumbled upon something different. While studying at the University of Toledo, I was able to take numerous classes that were not directly related to political science. I was led to many Communication classes, I loved it so much that I decided to double major. As I began taking more Communication classes, I became fascinated with the field and the practicality of it all, and then there was Public Relations--- particularly event planning. I found out that I had, in many ways, been doing this for years. I was the organizer of many functions at my church, making sure invitations and programs were drawn out, circulating ideas to build up an audience, I was a founder and editor of my High school newspaper etc. I could see myself doing this for a career.

I've learned to utilize marketing, sales and communications together to be an effective event planner by increasing awareness. I've learned the necessity of building customer and media relationships. I have developed the skills to successfully write and edit press releases as well as the confidence to host press conferences and aggressively pitch ideas to clients. I've learned to write and think creatively to develop themes and build upon them when planning an event to the satisfaction.

Here, I would like to display some of my work and let some of my skills be viewed and criticized. I've written press releases, developed whole newsletters, designed flyers which have been unknowingly developed through years of experience. Produced here are some of the flyers I've designed (some are not complete) for actual events as well as newsletters for  a few of them. Feel free to leave comments under the "Contact Me" page. I do read everything, because I feel that these comments are a way for me to grow and do better in this field.
