Raleigh, NC – September 2012’s Accessories Trade Show in New York
heralded the arrival of many goods and gadgets, but one of the most
buzzed-about items at the Javits Center was Just For KiiX’s offering
called KiiX. KiiX are a patent-pending, easy-to-apply, non-damaging,
disposable high heel protector for women’s high heels. In short, this is
a life-saver (actually a shoe-saver!) for women everywhere.
“Any
woman who wears heels, whether it be for fun, fashion or work, can
attest how easy it is to nick, scuff or ruin the actual heel,” says Just
for KiiX CEO Heather Bridgers. “Repairing high heels is not only
costly, but also there is no way to restore the look of the heel once it
is ruined. My goal was to create something that I could not find: a way
to protect shoes from damage, an easy-to-apply method, a product that
would not alter the appearance of the shoe and would not ruin the shoe
when removed.”
Heather consulted with many experts and
scientists, eventually assembling an 8 person team to create KiiX and to
take them to market. The Just for KiiX team spent a year and a half on
product development, research and focus groups, and successfully made a
durable product that was invisible, not complicated to affix to the shoe
and left no residue. Constructed from advanced polymers and consumer
tested on city streets, KiiX high heel protectors create a clear barrier
between heels and the hazards of everyday life. The product has a
peel-off backing and perforations to match heel size. There are no
glues, no tools and no wait in the application and no sticky mess upon
removal.
Each package of KiiX contains six pairs of high heel protectors.
Four pairs designated by the red backing on the protector are for gloss
finished heels (patent leather, plastic, gloss wood or any other gloss
finish). The other two pairs of KiiX, designated by the gray backing on
the protector, are for non-gloss heels that have a matte finish. Each
