Mohamed EL-Fellah  received his primary and secondary education in Benghazi- Libya and completed it in 1970 . Mohamed EL-Fellah graduated from Tripoli University with an honours B.Sc. in Agriculture in 1973 and B.Sc. from Western Illinois University

in Chemistry in 1981.  Mohamed EL-Fellah received his master degree from Western Illinois University in Chemistry in 1983 and subsequently carried out postgraduate research work, at University College Cork., in the area of organic chemistry with Professor W. Murphy and was awarded the Ph.D. degree in 1990. Mohamed EL-Fellah carried out postdoctoral research work in heterocyclic chemistry at University College Cork, with Professor W. M. before returning to Garyounis University in 1991 as a College Lecturer in organic chemistry. Mohamed EL-Fellah is  involved in research and teaching of general and organic chemistry and spectroscopy and in the supervision of the department's NMR service .
