The MEGA Cantenna (tm) is my own Design. It includes a built-in 802.11 g/b WiFi LAN card, and 10 Feet of
high quality shielded USB cable, and driver/utility CD for Windows, Linux and Mac.
How it came about:
About 9 months ago, I bought a "Popular" Model Cantenna off
of eBay. It worked good, BUT I needed more range. So I bought a
16-element Yagi Beam, which worked better. THEN I came up with my
own design, to IMPROVE the Cantenna, and here are the results:
TEST RESULTS: ( and No B.S. )
TEST #1 - comparing the "popular model" cantenna to my MEGA
cantenna, the Mega had more than TWICE the range, as
the popular ebay Cantenna.
TEST #2 - comparing the MEGA to a 16-element Yagi Beam, the
Mega had considerably more range than the Yagi Beam.
TEST #3 - (and the Test that even surprised me), I connected
a 27 dBi Amplifier to the Yagi Beam (43 dbi Total) ... and at 800
meters, the MEGA had the “same” signal as the Yagi, and the MEGA did
NOT have an Amplifier attached!! Both were on camera tripods, 5 feet
high.
NOTE:
MEGA Cantennas are SEALED and WEATHER PROOF,
and can be mounted outdoors.

ALSO: if you need more than 10 feet of cable, you will need a
“Active” Repeater type USB cable extension. You can find them on
eBay for $10 or so, for a 16 foot (5 meter), which would give you 26
feet total length.
