CONGRATULATIONS!  THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST!

Thank you for considering my services as your celebrant for your elopement or wedding in NYC!  I am a registered marriage officiant, which means that your ceremony will be perfectly legal. My identification number is 77862.  Since 2008, I have officiated approximately 1400 marriage ceremonies and vow renewals.  This number increases as the months unfold. Participating in each wedding ceremony or elopement is a true honor and joy!  I hope that these notes of appreciation by my couples show you that I do care about your marriage.

Past experiences taught me that not all couples seek the "bells and whistles" of weddings featured in glamorous magazines.  An endearing, relaxed wedding ceremony entrances most of us.  A century ago, we referred to these as "Justice of the Peace" marriage ceremonies.  Couples invite their nearest and dearest to a family celebration.  Or couples elope with a witness or two (and perhaps their dog or kids) in an intimate, make-it-legal celebration. Of course, I also officiate larger weddings with over one hundred guests too.  I have married couples in hotels, gardens, public parks, restaurants, private homes, reception halls, chapels, and historic sites. For venue ideas, please click here.

During the marriage service itself, I will welcome those gathered with a few thoughts about friendship and support; I will request your consent with a classic "I do" vow; I will introduce your rings (if you plan to exchange them); and then you are married!  While I use a civil, non-religious wedding ceremony by default, I am happy to integrate a prayer and blessing for religious wedding ceremonies too.  Also, couples may opt to exchange personal vows.  Afterwards, the couple and witness sign the marriage license. (Please click here for license details.)  I complete the rest and file it with the Clerk, who then mails the certificate to the couple.

I do my best to be transparent in every way, including average honorarium contributions.  The contribution for my honorarium typically begins at $100 for marriage ceremonies held during the morning in select locations, such as  North Forest Park (80-30 Park Lane in Kew Gardens, New York).  For services elsewhere at other times, the honorarium is usually higher.

To schedule your marriage service, I need confirmation of your interest, as well as your names, the place, date, and time. Kindly note that, assuming you will obtain a public record, you will need to secure the marriage license.
