THE K TO 12 PROGRAM
The K to 12 Program covers kindergarten and 12 years of basic education (six years of primary education, four years of junior high school, and two years of senior high school [SHS]) to provide sufficient time for mastery of concepts and skills, develop lifelong learners, and prepare graduates for tertiary education, middle-level skills development, employment, and entrepreneurship.
ADVANTAGE AND DISADVANTAGE OF K + 12
ADVANTAGE:
*They get more knowledge of the student to their teacher.
*The poor quality of basic education is reflected in the low achievement scores of the Filipino student.
*They give a new curriculum and instruction to how to teach the K + 12.
*They will change the strategy of teaching. The teacher will become a instructor.
DISADVANTAGE:
*They more spend studying to their school.
*Child care is more difficult to obtain.
*Some health problem are seen when to the school activities and classes in the summer heat.
*The old system of teaching and the curriculum will change.
