how to get rid of belly fat

We all know the person who analyses each meal, each mouthful, for its calorie or fat content, who refuses all carbs, dairy, meat and so on because they are 'bad for you', or they say they have an allergy or intolerance. We know the person who obsesses about tiny bits of fat on their plate. We may even be that person.

But can we blame them? We are all constantly bombarded with information coming at us from all sides. There are newspapers which might say one thing about diet and tips to get rid of belly fat on page 5 and the exact opposite in a feature on page 15. There are internet sites which appear to be sensible and helpful, but which peddle rubbish 'facts' in order to sell us something. There are doctors, nutritionists, practitioners, laymen and goodness knows who else trying to make a living out of our gullibility. And there are journalists and media people who take shortcuts when writing articles and add 'facts' to their features without checking them.

I want to set the record straight about the 'wisdom' that has come to be carved in stone about dieting, weight control and healthy eating, as well as behaviors connected with all three. I've selected my 'top' bugbears that I hear repeated time and again - most of which are likely to cause more harm than good in your quest for a better body. Although other myths are dispelled throughout my site, the ones I've chosen to focus on in here point up the manner in which we constantly fool ourselves around weight and food topics.
