Gwendolyn Draper Yates is a native of Vicksburg, MS, who is an educator, poet, songwriter and newly published author of a book of poetry, Hometown Matters of the Heart. Ms. Yates describes herself as a faith walker -- she enjoys being with people, reading the Bible, writing poetry, articles and short stories, writing songs, solving problems and helping others. She also enjoys going to the movies, gardening, decorating, dining out and shopping. Ms. Yates is a member of the Standfield New Life Christian Church that she claims has "great pastors and members." |
