Welcome to Level 7: Project Infection.

We were told the project would change the world.  *chuckles* It did, just not in the way they led us to believe.  Mad Max had it easy compared to the shit we deal with.  Resident Evil… Doomsday… I Am Legend… Don’t get me started on that shit!

The loss of so many lives began with a single microscopic organism.  It is human nature to seek even the smallest comfort in reason or logic for events as catastrophic as these.  But a virus does not choose a time or place, it does not hate or even care, it just happens.  The infection spread like wildfire; a global pandemic of such deadly proportions that it made the Black Plague look like the common cold.  There was no stopping it, no cure, no vaccine.  It claimed the lives of millions in the first week; three quarters of the world’s population gone.

Martial law was implemented in an attempt to suppress the outbreak; road blocks were set up and curfews enforced.  The airports, seaports and borders were closed, people were ordered to remain in their homes, to avoid travel, avoid contact, to sit it out and wait for help that did not come.

The world’s social order decayed quicker than the corpses in the streets which ran with blood as people fought to stay alive.  Fires set for burning bodies spread rapidly as the cities were plundered.  The last survivors became primal savages, feeding on dogs, rats and finally on each other.  Looting, rape and murder became rampant.  The situation has reached breaking point.  It is now a matter of time before the laws of nature seek to redress the balance.

Welcome to Level 7: Project Infection. The infection has spread and worldwide enemies have taken full advantage of its emergence in all societies. War briefly ripped apart the surface of the planet and society remains on its last legs, walking into a new world. The world of Tomorrow. Twilight.

Survival horror in a post apocalyptic setting. Do you remain good of heart and try to further humanity by saving it? Or do you adapt and become harsh like the world, living from day to day, with decisions and morality fit to survive? Or has the face of socialism, and humanity completely left from you and have you become like those of the wastes, tyrant marauders bent on annihilation and devastation?
