A terrible joke in the medical world. The hcg diet is completely irresponsible as far as most medical doctors are concerned. The idea is to pump a bunch of chemicals through your body to cause you to dump a bunch of weight really quickly. The whole idea of it is just plain dumb!

There are some things in life that are just too perfect to be real, and this would be one of those things! I know it can be tempting to get swept up in the promises of miracle diets with instant results. But seriously, when do these diet crazes ever produce real results? Slow down and think about it.

We have complex systems and losing weight isn't just about popping some miracle pill, or herbal mixes like pez candies! Our eating habits need to be healthy, because the truth is we actually need calories to survive. We just need to be choosing them wisely and balancing it all out with some sort of physical activity. In an ideal world it would be easy, but the fact is there are no tricks! Weight loss just isn't that easy.

Now, I know what you’re thinking: HCG isn’t simple! And, you’re partially right. It’s confusing. Reading about it is like trying to read and instruction manual in some obscure foreign language. There are so many big words and technical terms that you’d pretty much need to take an entire specialized course on the matter just to understand what it really is. That in its self should scare you!

Are you really going to take the word of some random salesman or even a doctor hired as a spokesperson? I wouldn’t trust those crooks even if you paid me! If you’re planning on putting something into your body, you should have a good understanding of what it is and why it works, or at the very least have your personal doctor advise you.

What the heck does HCG even mean in the first place? It is short for human chorionic gonadotropin, which is a hormone produced during pregnancy. The levels of it in the body are thought to affect the severity of morning sickness. However, it isn’t only associated with pregnancy, cancerous tumors can also produce it.

Red flags should be flooding your mind right now, but if they aren't let me continue my arguement. The Food and Drug Administartion banned the drug in 2011. Citing it as both frauduelent and illigal. They forbid any sales of anything associated with the drug which is cause for uneasiness in and of itself! There has to be reasons for something to be pulled of the market and made illegal.

So to wrap it all up just remember this. Fad diets like the hcg diet should garner no trust from you my friends! Wheter they are an intentional rip off or an honest mistake, the reality is they are bad for your health!
