Legba, the African god of Language and Destiny, knows all the languages of the humans and the gods. Legba's Notebook was created to help share such knowledge with humanity. It requires considerable effort on our part, the willingness to work hard and to make mistakes. But it is possible. |
Family |
The goal of this site is to provide all the necessary resources and materials the independant student of languages will need to master his/her chosen language(s). Sources are given whenever possible, and include the Internet, textbooks, supplimentary books, grammars, and study guides, as well as interviews and explainations by native speakers when possible. |
Country |
The site is searchable in three ways: the name of the language, the language family, and the country in which the language is spoken. All three paths lead to the same resources in all instances. Dialect differences are noted on the language-specific page. |
