Demi Moore to Play Gloria Steinem; Is Her Career Looking Up After Calling in Divorce Attorneys?

Demi Moore didn’t exactly end the last year on a glorious note; she had to call in the divorce attorneys to end her six-year marriage with errant husband Ashton Kutcher, after he cheated on her. What was she thinking would happen? But it seems, things are looking up for her in the New Year. She has been signed on to play Gloria Steinem in Lovelace, in an upcoming biographical movie about Linda Lovelace, one of the most famous adult entertainment stars of all time. Who is she again? Moore is about as incredible as it gets though, she is fabulous to look at and is why her phone continues to ring.

About Gloria Steinem

Linda Lovelace attained fame after starring in Deep Throat, a notorious pornographic flick of the 1970s. On the other hand, Gloria Steinem was a feminist from the same era and the founder of the Ms. Magazine. She was one of the most well-known critics of pornography and her feature on Lovelace, titled “The Real Linda Lovelace” in her magazine, brought to public notice the violent, threatening, and abusive nature of the relationship between Lovelace and her husband Charles Traynor, also the producer of Deep Throat.

One Side of the Story

Lovelace’s personal life and profile, as delineated by Steinem in her feature, shocked readers. Lovelace was imprisoned, forced into prostitution, and threatened with dire consequences by Traynor if she revolted. Traynor, for his own good, created a myth that Lovelace enjoyed being sexually used and tortured. According to her, Lovelace was trapped in a loveless marriage, feeling too helpless and afraid to call in the divorce attorneys.

Moore should have Stuck with Willis

The strain of calling in the divorce attorneys to annul her marriage was showing on Demi Moore; she looked thin, tired, and haggard at a recent public appearance. Now she has something to look forward to; donning the Aviator glasses to play a feisty feminist.
